Cat

Oh! I forgot! We got (slightly) lost on the way to the theatre, and so we had to turn around in this nice-looking residential area. As we were backing out of a stranger's driveway, we see this black cat in the classic Halloween pose (back arched and fur sticking straight up) in front of the house next door. What an omen! It gets worse! We were accelerating to turn around, when the black cat crosses the street. Right in front of us! Oh, bad luck galore in that neck of the woods. Good thing we're not a superstitious lot.
